The Lake Troodon Paleontological Association Presents: The Cretaceous Mix

Location: Cassette
Date: October 2021.

Co-written and created by Karla Livingstone-Pardy and Zachary Sheridan
Music by Isaac Diamond
Design by Grace Mallinson
Collaboration from Hannah Disher, Harrie Hogan, Julia Kok, Madeleine Kerr, Maddy Lee, and Jack Pardy.

Details: Dedicated to the advancement of the science of paleontology, the Lake Troodon Paleontological Association made a landmark discovery in 2021 when they uncovered a cassette tape nestled between fossilised tracks on a thin band of grey rock. The recordings upon the tape challenge many beliefs previously held about dinosaurs, as well as providing a glimpse into a catastrophic day for dinosaur-kind - the day the asteroid hit.

Presented in fulfilment of the Masters of Theatre (Directing) at the VCA, this work was a collaboration between Karla and fellow directing student Zachary Sheridan. The original audio work was recorded onto custom-made hot pink cassettes and mailed to participants throughout Australia.
